Privacy policy

We manage properties belonging to European owners, and we host travellers who are European too. The European data protection regulation therefore applies to part of what we do, and we have chosen to apply it to all of it. This page says what we do with your information, in plain terms.
Who is responsible
HERITAGE Property Solutions, whose full details appear in the legal notice, decides what is collected and how it is used. For any question, write to contact@heritage-mru.com.
What we collect
Three situations, and only three. When you write to us: your name, email address, telephone number and whatever you tell us about your property. When you become an owner under mandate: the information needed to manage it — identity, bank details for payouts, property address, contracts, invoices, statements. When a traveller stays: the booking data passed on by the platform.
Why
To answer your enquiry, prepare an estimate, carry out the management mandate, pay you what you are owed, and meet Mauritian accounting and tax obligations. We never use your data for marketing, and we sell it to no one.
On what basis
Your enquiry rests on the step you took yourself. Managing your property rests on the contract between us. Keeping accounting records rests on a legal obligation.
Who can see it
Our team, each according to their role: someone on the housekeeping side does not see your financial statements, and the software itself checks this on every read. Beyond the team, our technical hosting providers, and the booking platforms where a stay concerns them. No other third party.
Where it is kept
On infrastructure hosted outside Mauritius, operated by providers bound by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We can tell you the exact server location on request.
For how long
An enquiry that goes no further: three years. A management file: the whole term of the mandate, then ten years for accounting records, as Mauritian law requires. A traveller’s booking data: as long as the stay and its invoicing require.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics, advertising or social network cookies. There is nothing to accept or refuse, which is why no banner greets you. Two technical cookies exist: the one remembering the language you chose and, only if you sign in to your space, the one keeping your session open.
Your rights
You may ask to see your data, have it corrected, obtain a copy, or ask for it to be erased where no legal obligation requires us to keep it. Write to contact@heritage-mru.com: we reply within one month. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the Mauritian Data Protection Office, or to the data protection authority of the country where you live.
